Attendance & Participation Policy
QUEST Academy believes that regular attendance and active participation are essential components in achieving learning outcomes and building an effective academic and discipleship-based learning community. Therefore, all students are expected to attend all learning activities and participate actively in their courses according to the requirements of each module.
The attendance policy allows limited absences from live online interactive sessions and limited non-submission of course activities, depending on the credit weight (ECTS) of the course, as outlined below:

Acceptable Reasons for Absence or Delay
Absences or delays may be considered valid only when supported by written and documented justification submitted to the course instructor and program coordinator within one week of the missed session. Acceptable reasons include:
- ▪Emergency travel
- ▪Illness or medical emergencies
- ▪Serious family circumstances
- ▪Non-deferrable legal or official obligations
- ▪Major technical issues beyond the student’s control
The Academic Coordinator will review the student’s records in coordination with the Registrar’s Office and make a decision to approve or reject the request. In case of rejection, the student has the right to submit a formal written complaint through the designated form, which will be reviewed by the Academic Dean.
Reasons related to poor time management, personal scheduling conflicts, or unverified technical issues are not considered valid excuses.
Students are strongly advised to carefully consider course schedules before registration, especially when courses may conflict with travel or other commitments. It is recommended not to register for courses that may be affected by such constraints.
If a student exceeds the allowed absence limit, they will be considered to have failed the course. In such cases:
- If the course is mandatory, the student must retake it in the following academic year and pay the full course fee upon re-registration.
- If the course is not mandatory, the student may choose to enroll in an alternative course within their program structure.
